Dr. Mark Hoeprich, having been raised in Canton, Ohio, is excited to have recently returned home to join the Center for Neuro and Spine.

Dr. Hoeprich obtained his Bachelor of Science in Natural Sciences at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. Immediately following, with an already developed interest in neurosurgery, he embarked in medical school at the University of Toledo, College of Medicine and Life Sciences. Subsequently he then completed his neurosurgical residency at Wayne State University / Detroit Medical Center. While there, he developed his interest in functional neurosurgery. Additionally, during residency, Dr. Hoeprich also earned a Master in Public Policy from the University of Michigan and became involved with multiple socioeconomic projects with the Council of State Neurosurgical Societies. Because of his special interest in functional neurosurgery, he elected to undertake further specialized training. He was awarded a fellowship at the renowned Montreal Neurologic Institute and Hospital. This is where he completed his fellowship training in the field of functional neurosurgery, particularly focused in epilepsy.

Dr. Hoeprich is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and the American Medical Association.

Specialties and Clinical Interest:

His primary specialization within this practice includes epilepsy, deep brain stimulation, eloquent brain tumors, and various surgeries for pain syndromes, including spinal cord stimulation. He also offers the gambit of general neurosurgery including primary and metastatic brain tumors, complex reconstructive spine surgery for trauma, metastatic disease, or degenerative spine conditions, as well as the open treatment of vascular disorders of the central nervous system.
