Sharla D. Moretta, MS, PA-C
Physician Assistant - Certified
Sharla grew up in Stark County, Ohio and graduated with honors from Louisville High School. She knew then that she wanted to go into medicine, however, after graduation she obtained a position in the airline industry which she truly enjoyed until that industry took a turn. She then decided that it was time to resort back to her original plan and pursue medicine.
She started as a volunteer EMT and quickly became a paramedic where she had worked alongside an elite group of first responders for 15 years. It wasn't long before she realized that she wanted more from her medical career, so she took on the challenge of working full time and going back to school full time. She graduated in 2006 from the physician assistant program at Cuyahoga Community College and completed her degree of Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at the Arizona School of Health Sciences in 2009.
Though she practiced a short time in Emergency Medicine as a Physician Assistant, she found that her passion was Neurosurgery, and it has been here at the Center for Neuro & Spine that she has practiced the majority of her Physician Assistant career.
When she's not working she enjoys spending time at home in Akron with her family and her pets. Her interests also include gardening, travelling and playing tennis.
